What to Wear for Family Photos

1. Avoid identical outfits

Every member of your family has their own unique personality. Let each person choose an outfit that they feel fits their own style. This will make your photos more memorable for years to come.

2. Take the environment into consideration.

Are you taking photos at a location filled with bright green trees and grasses? Avoid wearing lots of greens.

Taking photos on a beach? Avoid tan pants and blue shirts.

Choose clothing that doesn’t allow you to blend into the environment. We want you to stand out!

3. Choose a color everyone agrees with.

Pick a color that can be incorporated into each outfit. You can still match each other without wearing identical outfits. Picking a color that can be included in everyone’s outfits allow you to bring unity within the group.

4. Plan

Don’t wait until the last minute to choose your outfit(s). Nothing is more frustrating than planning a super cute outfit and then realizing it doesn’t fit anymore or there is a button missing. Make sure each person in your family tries on their outfits in advance so a clothing item can be replaced in time if need be.

5. Be comfortable & confident!

There is nothing worse than wearing a shirt that feels too snug or a skirt that feels too short. Wear something that not only feels comfortable to move around in, but that also makes you feel confident.
